Classic Dashboard CAD Design
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m building out a full-scale interior concept and now need a production-ready CAD model of the dashboard. The brief is straightforward: create a classic-style dash that looks similar to the 81-87 chevy pick up dashes but with a few of my modifications. These will be thermo formed and will need tooling files made.
What I’ll supply
• Reference photos, 3d scans, dimensional constraints and mounting points already captured from the chassis scan.
• Material and finish preferences so you can model accurate wall thicknesses and trim breaks.
What I need from you
• A fully parametric 3D model (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX or similar) plus neutral STEP/IGES files.
• 2-D drawings with key sections, GD&T where needed, and callouts for the cluster and HVAC ducting interfaces.
• Rendered views that help stakeholders visualize the final appearance.
Acceptance criteria
• Instrument cluster cavity matches the provided gauge pack envelope (+0 / -0.5 mm).
• Air-vent ducts align with the supplied HVAC routing file; pressure-drop simulation data or at least clear flow paths.
• All radii, draft angles and fastening bosses conform to stated tooling guidelines.
• Source files remain fully editable—no dead surfaces.
