Classic Car CAD & Mould Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a production-ready CAD package for a scale model classic car. The file will go straight into manufacturing, so surface quality and mould-tool thinking have to be built in from day one.
Scope
• Create a clean Class-A surface model of the exterior and an accurately proportioned under-body.
• Add moderate functional details—separate wheels, axles, interior tub, and any opening parts that make sense at scale.
• Design the corresponding injection-mould tool layout: split lines, draft, runners, gates, ejector positions, and basic cooling channels.
What I will supply
Reference photos, key dimensions, scale (1:18 unless you advise otherwise), and any heritage badges or grille patterns.
Acceptance criteria
• Native file plus neutral STEP/IGES that imports without errors.
• Core–cavity files ready for CNC machining.
• All parts open and assemble virtually with no clashes and maintain manufacturable draft angles.
• Visual check renders showing the assembled model in four standard views.
Preferred platforms are SolidWorks, NX, or Catia, but if you are confident in another high-end surface modeller that can export to STEP, that works too. Let me know your proposed timeline, software, and any past classic-car examples you can share.
