Chair CAD Industrial Design

Job ID: 40403183

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have only a hand-drawn conceptual sketch of a contemporary chair and now need it translated into fully detailed CAD so I can move on to prototyping and sourcing. The frame will combine steel for strength and copper accents for visual warmth, with a removable upholstered cushion, so the model must reflect the interaction between these materials.

Please build a production-ready 3D model that captures:
• Overall structure, including all joinery and fastening points
• Ergonomics and comfort features such as seat angle, back-rest curvature, and cushion fit
• Material details—steel tube gauge, copper thickness, welds or screws, and the cushion’s foam and fabric allowance

Deliverables
1. Native CAD files (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) plus neutral formats (STEP, IGES).
2. Dimensioned technical drawings ready for a fabricator, with tolerances called out.
3. Exploded view and BOM indicating every part and material.

I will sign off once dimensions align with the sketch, clearances meet typical ergonomic standards, and all metal-to-cushion interfaces are resolved. If you enjoy furniture design and can turn ideas into precise digital files, I’m eager to collaborate.
