CUSTOM Controller CAD Model for outer body
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to commission a full 3D CAD model for the outer shell of a new gamepad that fuses the familiar contours of both Xbox and PlayStation designs. Think Xbox-style stance meeting PlayStation-level symmetry, but with a personality of its own.
The shell has to accommodate every standard control: twin thumb-sticks, D-pad, face buttons, bumpers, triggers, start/menu options, plus a central touch-or-logo zone—everything laid out so my electronics team can drop their internals straight in. Ergonomics matter just as much: I need subtly textured grip handles for slip-free sessions, elegantly curved trigger faces, and an overall slim profile that still feels solid in the hands.
Please model this as a fully closed, manufacturable body, ready for CNC machining or injection-mould tool design. Internal ribs, screw posts and mating surfaces should be thoughtful but simple; leave room for future tweaks rather than locking in exact PCB geometry.
Deliverables
• Parametric 3D model (STEP or IGES + your native format: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Exploded view or assembly file showing front, back and mid-frame plates
• Basic dimensioned drawing set for reference (mm)
• Short note on recommended wall thicknesses and texture call-outs
