CNC-Ready Folding Doorstep CAD
Budget: ₹600 – ₹700 INR
I’m finalising a folding car doorstep for SUV owners—similar to the Moki Doorstep—but I need a production-ready CAD package, not just concept art. The part will carry 150 kg with a 2.5× safety factor, be CNC-machined from 6061 aluminium, and use a simple folding hook with a built-in mechanical stop (no springs).
My priorities are straightforward: rock-solid durability, ease of machining, and overall cost efficiency. On the drawings side, dimensional accuracy comes first, followed closely by clear assembly instructions and the surface-finish notes you’ll need to coordinate powder coating.
I’ll start with one functional prototype and then move to a batch of 100 units, so the design must translate directly to the shop floor without re-work.
Deliverables
• Parametric 3D model in STEP format
• Fully detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and surface-finish call-outs
• Exploded assembly view for the hook mechanism
