Simple 3D CAD Model + Basic Simulation (FreeCAD) – Passive Cooling Radiator
Project Description:
I need a freelancer to create a simple 3D model and basic motion simulation for a mechanical engineering project.
The project is based on a passive cooling radiator with adjustable fins (bimetal strip concept). The goal is NOT a complex CFD or thermal simulation, but a simple visual/mechanical demonstration.
Scope of Work:
1. Create a 3D CAD model in FreeCAD (preferred):
* Base/frame
* Multiple fins (like blinds)
* Pivot mechanism for fins
2. Create a basic motion simulation/animation:
* Fins should rotate/open and close (like window blinds)
* Show 2 positions:
* Closed (low temperature)
* Open (high temperature)
3. Export deliverables:
* FreeCAD source file (.FCStd)
* STEP or STL file
* Short animation/video (MP4 or GIF)
* 2–3 rendered images (open & closed positions)
Important Notes:
* No advanced CFD or thermal simulation required
* Keep design simple and suitable for academic presentation
* Mechanism should look realistic but does not need complex physics
Deadline:
* Initial preview required by 17th (for presentation)
* Final delivery within 7–8 days
Skills Required:
* FreeCAD / SolidWorks / Fusion 360
* Basic mechanical design
* CAD animation
Preferred:
* Experience with academic or mechanical engineering projects
