3D CAD PRODUCT DESIGN - Aerosol “Stencil Cap” with Paint Collection Bottle

Job ID: 40232276

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Project Overview

I am developing a functional aerosol accessory for graffiti artists called a Stencil Cap.

This device mounts onto a spray can and reduces paint output to allow extremely fine controlled lines for stencil work and detail painting.

This is a real physical product that must be engineered for functionality and manufacturability — not just a visual model.

Reference images of the concept will be provided.

Core Product Function

The device:

• Attaches securely to a Montana 94 spray can
• Restricts spray output through a small precision aperture
• Redirects excess paint into an attached bottle
• Includes internal geometry to control paint flow
• Supports attachment of a standard plastic water bottle
• Integrates engraved “FREE WALLS” branding

Paint Capture System (Critical Requirement)

The threaded bottle serves as a paint collection reservoir.

The design must intentionally redirect suppressed paint flow into the bottle.

Internal geometry must:

• Guide excess paint away from the outlet
• Prevent paint from backing toward the spray nozzle
• Allow gravity drainage into the bottle
• Maintain stable spray performance

Designer should propose appropriate internal channel, funnel, or ridge system.

Bottle Attachment

The design must:

• Support standard plastic water bottle threading
• Maintain airtight fit
• Allow repeated attachment/removal
• Be structurally durable

Designer should confirm standard bottle thread specification.

Spray Restriction System

The outlet must include:

• Precision small aperture for fine line output
• Stable airflow geometry
• Reduced clogging risk
• Ability to modify hole diameter for testing

Designer is encouraged to recommend optimal geometry.

Spray Can Compatibility

The rear interface must:

• Fit Montana 94 spray cans securely
• Align properly with spray valve
• Maintain consistent seal and positioning

Designer should request measurements if needed.

Branding Requirement

The design must include:

• Engraved “FREE WALLS” logo
• Clean professional integration
• Placement that does not interfere with functionality

Logo file will be supplied.

Deliverables Required

Final delivery must include:

• STEP file (required)
• STL file (required)
• Native CAD source file (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks / similar)
• Preview renders

Design must be suitable for:

• Prototyping via 3D printing
• Future injection molding

Ownership & Rights (Mandatory)

This is a work-for-hire project.

Upon payment:

• I retain full exclusive ownership of the design
• Freelancer may not reuse or resell the design
• No portfolio usage without permission

Preferred Experience

Strong preference for designers with experience in:

• Consumer product engineering
• Aerosol or spray systems
• Plastic product design
• Injection-moldable geometry
