CAD Mother Mold for Ceramics

Job ID: 40497809

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

The goal of this project is to turn my functional-ware designs—bowls and cups that include handles and spouts—into a precise, multi-part mother mold ready for slip-casting. Because the pieces have complex geometry, the CAD model must incorporate proper draft angles, clean parting lines, registration keys, and allowances for ceramic shrinkage so the fired size matches my originals.

I will be printing the mother mold myself and my workflow relies on Blender or Fusion, so the final file must import flawlessly into either platform and be laid out for a standard desktop printer build volume. A lightly textured outer surface is fine, but the cavity surfaces need to be smooth enough that a plaster cast will pull cleanly.

Deliverables
• Watertight 3D model of the mother mold (.STL or step)
• Exploded view or clear naming that identifies each mold section, keys, and pour/vent points
• Brief note on draft angles and the shrinkage factor you applied

Acceptance criteria: the models open error-free in Blender or Fusion, all parts align without interference, and the overall dimensions reflect the specified post-firing targets once shrinkage is considered.
