CAD Modeling
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a set of designs that exist only as hand sketches and a few reference photos. I need them converted into accurate, fully-detailed CAD models and workshop drawings that a machinist can pick up and build without a second guess.
Here’s what I will hand over: all sketches, key dimensions, and functional notes for each part. Your role is to transform that material into clean, parametric 3D models (SolidWorks, Inventor, or a neutral STEP/IGES format) and then produce complete 2D fabrication drawings. Each drawing must include dimensions, tolerances, surface-finish callouts, section views, and an itemised bill of materials where relevant.
The scope is strictly mechanical and centres on machine part design—think shafts, housings, brackets, and small welded frames. No architectural or electrical elements are involved.
Deliverables
• Native CAD files plus STEP/IGES interchange files
• PDF workshop drawings ready for the shop floor
• BOM and exploded views where assemblies are required
• One revision cycle to capture any feedback
Acceptance criteria
• Models match supplied dimensions within ±0.1 mm (or as specified)
• Drawings comply with ISO or ASME Y14.5 standards and are production-ready
