Reverse Engineering + STL/STEP Model of Plastic Clip/Cover from Photos
Project Description
I need an accurate 3D CAD model of a plastic part based on the attached reference photos and approximate dimensions shown with rulers.
The part appears to be a:
plastic clip / holder / cover
possibly related to rifle scope optics or cylindrical equipment
The final model will be used for:
3D printing
prototyping
replacement part production
The part has:
flexible open circular shape
asymmetrical profile
top eyelet / slot opening
smooth internal radii
snap-fit style geometry
Approximate dimensions:
width: ~45–50 mm
height: ~45–50 mm
inner diameter: ~35–40 mm
wall thickness: ~2–3 mm
Multiple photos from different angles are attached, including ruler references.
Deliverables Required
STEP / STP file
STL file
preferably Fusion360 or SolidWorks source file
watertight printable geometry
dimensions matching reference photos as closely as possible
Important
I do NOT want a rough approximation.
I need proper reverse engineering from photos and dimensions.
Experience with:
reverse engineering
technical CAD modeling
injection molded parts
functional plastic components
3D printing
is highly preferred.
