3D CAD Design for AC Carbon Filter Housing
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Title: Industrial Product Designer Needed for AC Airflow Carbon Filter Housing (3D CAD)
Description:
I am developing a passive air filtration product that works with the airflow from a split air conditioner. The product is a plastic housing module that holds a replaceable carbon cartridge and directs AC airflow through the cartridge to remove smoke, odor, and VOCs.
I need an industrial product designer / mechanical CAD designer to create a complete 3D model of the housing.
Product Overview:
The module will sit below an AC outlet and capture a portion of the airflow. The airflow enters from the back side, passes through an internal airflow channel and carbon cartridge, and exits from the front perforated grill.
Housing Dimensions:
Length: 650 mm
Depth: 80 mm
Height: 70 mm
Carbon Cartridge Space:
Cartridge size: 600 mm × 40 mm × 40 mm
Internal cavity should allow easy insertion with small clearance.
Design Requirements:
• Plastic housing designed for injection molding
• Wall thickness around 2.5–3 mm
• Rear intake grill for airflow
• Internal airflow channel (venturi style) to guide air toward the cartridge
• Sealed cartridge tunnel so air cannot bypass the filter
• Front perforated outlet grill
• Hinged front panel that opens fully for cartridge replacement
• Internal support rails for cartridge placement
• Structural ribs to prevent bending over the 650 mm length
Important:
Air must be forced through the carbon cartridge only, with no airflow leakage around it.
Deliverables Needed:
• Full 3D CAD model of the housing
• Cross-section showing internal airflow layout
• Exploded view of components
• STEP and STL files
• Manufacturing drawings with dimensions
• Injection molding draft consideration
Preferred Software:
SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Creo / similar CAD tools.
This is an early product prototype design, so the goal is to create a clean, manufacturable housing model that can be shown to manufacturers for prototyping.
I will provide sketches and references during the project.
