Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to review and optimize an existing product design for manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction. The current design is complete but needs improvement to ensure it is suitable for mass production using CNC machining and injection molding.

Project Details
• Product Type: Plastic + Metal Assembly (Consumer Product) • Current Files: 3D CAD files available (STEP & SOLIDWORKS) • Manufacturing Methods: • Injection Molding (Plastic Parts) • CNC Machining (Metal Components)

Scope of Work
• Review existing CAD design • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles • Suggest and implement improvements for: • Reduced production cost • Improved manufacturability • Material optimization • Modify CAD models in SOLIDWORKS • Create updated: • 3D models • Technical drawings • Basic BOM

Deliverables
• Optimized 3D CAD files (SOLIDWORKS format) • 2D manufacturing drawings (PDF/DWG) • DFM report (brief explanation of improvements)

Requirements
• Strong experience in SOLIDWORKS • Proven work in DFM (CNC & Injection Moulding) • Knowledge of tolerances, fits, and materials • Ability to suggest practical, real-world solutions.
