Automatic Toilet Lid Opener Prototype
Budget: $150 – $500 USD
I am looking for a mechanical/electronics freelancer who can build a simple working prototype of an automatic toilet lid opener that mounts to the back of the toilet tank using 3M tape.
The device should:
• Use a small DC gear motor
• Push/pull a linkage rod connected to a clip on the toilet lid
• Use an IR proximity sensor to detect foot/hand wave
• Auto-open the lid when triggered
• Auto-close after a set time
• Run off AA batteries
• Be housed in a small project box
• Be universal to all standard toilets
Deliverables:
1. Fully assembled working prototype
2. Video demonstration (opening/closing function)
3. Simple wiring diagram
4. List of all parts used (BOM)
5. Simple explanation of how to adjust the linkage for different toilets
6. Optional: 3D model of the housing (bonus)
