Automatic Hose Management System Design
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have invented a new automatic hose management system for Class 8 semi trucks. This is not simply a hose reel. The invention stores and automatically retracts two standard rubber air hoses inside a durable polymer enclosure that sits on the tractor catwalk.
The product must:
Automatically retract hose slack using an internal spring system.
Allow unrestricted hose extension during trailer turns and coupling.
Keep both hoses fully enclosed and protected.
Use continuous air flow through rotary swivel fittings.
Minimize friction and hose wear.
Include a low-friction hose exit guide using rollers or another engineered solution.
Be compatible with existing rubber glad-hand air hoses.
Sit on the catwalk instead of hanging from the back of the cab.
I already have concept sketches and reference images. I need an engineer to solve the internal mechanism and create a manufacturable design suitable for prototyping and eventual patent drawings.
