AutoCAD Cable Tray Routing -Need an AutoCAD expert to update our floor plan drawing. We provide the DWG file with pre-marked IT points; just add cable tray routes along walls and pipe laying positions.
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I already have a clean DWG floor plan with every IT drop clearly tagged. What I need now is an accurate layer showing the complete cable-tray runs along the perimeter and any internal walls, plus the matching pipe-laying positions.
• Dimensions: I will send you a spreadsheet listing the exact widths, heights, and spacing for every tray and pipe, so you can model them precisely—no guesswork is required.
• Materials: some segments must be metal, others plastic, so please label each stretch accordingly; keep both on separate layers for easy quantity take-off later.
• Routing: the paths are not fixed. You are free to choose the most logical and clash-free routes that respect doors, HVAC ducts, ceiling heights, and maintenance access. Feel free to reroute where it improves efficiency or cost.
Deliverables
1. Updated DWG with new layers for: Cable Trays-Metal, Cable Trays-Plastic, Pipes-Metal, Pipes-Plastic, and an annotation layer for notes.
2. A locked PDF plot for quick review.
3. A brief markup or screenshot set (3-5 images) highlighting any areas where you made routing decisions that differed from the obvious wall run, so we can sign off quickly.
Please keep native AutoCAD blocks intact, use polylines for centerlines, and maintain my original drawing scale and UCS. If anything is unclear once you open the file, ping me right away—turnaround matters more than flashy 3D.
IT points are already marked on the floor plan AutoCAD drawing for a commercial space. Task is to route cable trays (ladders/perforated) and pipes logically from these points, following walls/ceilings for efficiency and code compliance. Include bends, supports, drops, and labels. No full design—just routing overlays.
Required Deliverables
Updated DWG file with layers for cable trays (size/type noted), pipes, and fittings.
PDF export with plan/elevation views.
BOM/list of tray/pipe lengths and accessories.
Any notes on routing challenges or optimizations.
Skills Needed
Expert in AutoCAD (MEP/Plant 3D preferred).
Experience with cable tray routing, conduit/pipe layouts from marked points.
Familiarity with electrical/IT infrastructure standards.
