Armenian Cross 3D CNC Model

Job ID: 40318003

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’ve scanned a beautiful cnc-carved Armenian Cross and want to turn it into a much larger wall-hanging carved in wood on my own CNC router using V-bits. The scan I have is of a small cnc routed cross so I basically need that fully digitized with 3-D relief that captures every contour and layered recess so the finished piece looks as if it were an exact duplicate only much larger. I would like the file to be scalable (is that what is meant by parametric?).

You would take the png scan, recreate it as a detailed 3-D model, scale it to roughly 18" tall, and supply a file that imports directly into my CAM workflow. I’m working in wood, so the geometry must suit a V-bit toolpath and preserve sharp, crisp lines without blown-out edges. High detail is essential—ornamental knots, borders, and the subtle depth changes all need to read clearly once carved.

Deliverables
• High-resolution relief model of the cross (STL or OBJ)
• Toolpath-ready version matched to a V-bit and my machine’s bed size (48" x 60" so plenty of room there) (Etslcam as Millmage v-carve ability might still be in development)
• Scaled preview or render so I can verify proportions before machining

Once I load the file and run a quick simulation in Estlcam, if everything looks correct and the test carve shows clean definition, the project is complete. I’m ready to start as soon as you are and can provide the original scan immediately.
