6061 Aluminum Crate Dispenser Design

I’m building a large, crate-sized dispenser that will release solid materials on demand, and every structural element must be engineered in Aluminium 6061. The finished unit has to pass the relevant ASTM strength and safety tests, survive warehouse abuse, and still remain stackable and forklift-ready. A secure locking system is essential so the contents stay put during transport.

Here’s what I need from you:

• A complete 3-D CAD model of the dispenser (your native format plus STEP/IGES for sharing)
• Detailed 2-D fabrication drawings with weld symbols, tolerances and finish notes that reference the applicable ASTM sections
• Basic FEA or hand calculations confirming load-bearing capacity for stacking and forklift entry points
• An editable bill of materials keyed to the drawings

I’ll supply the exact dimensions, loading conditions and any internal mechanisms once we start. If you’ve designed heavy-duty containers or material handling equipment in 6061 before, this should feel familiar.
