Adjust Nut Thread Model
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have an existing 3D model of a nut whose internal thread is printing too tight. I need the thread profile enlarged just enough for clearance—roughly 5-10 %—and the slight taper at the thread start removed completely. Everything else about the nut must remain identical so it still seats in the assembly that surrounds it.
I will send you the current CAD/STL as a starting point. Please return a single, watertight STL with the modified threads. Once printed, the nut should screw onto the matching bolt smoothly straight from the printer, with no sanding or chasing required.
Deliverable
• One STL file containing the nut with enlarged, untapered threads ready for slicing
I will confirm completion by test-printing and checking that the nut spins on freely and bottoms out without resistance.
