Adjust Mechanical STL Dimensions
Budget: $10 – $20 USD
I have an existing STL of a single mechanical component, but the scale is off. The geometry itself is fine; I simply need every feature to match the real-world dimensions I will supply once the job starts.
Your task is to open the file in your preferred mesh editor or CAD package (Meshmixer, Netfabb, Fusion 360, Blender—whatever you’re fastest with), rescale or remodel the part so that all critical lengths fall within ±0.1 mm of the target values, and then export a clean STL that imports correctly into common slicers. If you notice any tiny mesh artifacts while you work, feel free to tidy them, but the primary goal is dimensional accuracy, not surface enhancement.
When you’re done, send me:
• The corrected STL in the same orientation as the original
• A quick change log listing the key dimensions you updated and their final measurements
