Academic Mechanical Engineering Project – FEA Analysis of 3D Printed Lightweight Structures (ANSYS)
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
We are 3rd year Mechanical Engineering students working on Minor Project 2.
Project Title (Tentative):
Mechanical Analysis of 3D Printed Lightweight Structures using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Project Scope:
• Design one solid reference structure
• Design one or two lightweight 3D printed structures (lattice / honeycomb / gyroid / or other simple lightweight geometry)
• Perform linear static structural analysis using ANSYS
• Apply compressive load on the top surface and fix the bottom surface
• Extract and compare the following results:
• Equivalent (Von-Mises) Stress
• Total Deformation
• Weight of each structure
• Strength-to-Weight Ratio
• Factor of Safety
Deliverables Required:
1. 3D CAD models
2. ANSYS project files
3. 2D engineering drawings with dimensions
4. Complete academic report (30–35 pages, plagiarism-free)
5. PowerPoint presentation (15–20 slides)
6. Basic guidance notes for viva
This is strictly an academic minor project for submission.
We require budget-friendly support suitable for students.
Please suggest simple and feasible lightweight structures for comparison.
