Cartoon Character Texture Creation
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have several character models ready for animation and now need them to burst with personality through eye-catching, cartoon-style textures. Each model is fully UV-wrapped; what’s missing is the hand-painted albedo, normal and roughness maps that will make them feel alive once they hit the screen.
The look I’m after sits between Saturday-morning energy and contemporary 3D animation: bold colours, clean gradients, subtle edge highlights and just enough stylisation to read well in motion without drifting into realism. Think expressive faces, readable silhouettes and texture detail that supports squash-and-stretch.
My pipeline is Maya + Substance Painter, so final maps should slot straight in—16-bit PNGs preferred, delivered neatly organised by character with matching preview renders. If you use other tools (3D-Coat, Mari, Krita, Photoshop), that’s fine as long as the output integrates smoothly.
I will share turntables, UV layouts and a colour script once we start; please keep each texture on-model and consistent with the palette. Finished files must hold up under 4K close-ups and—most importantly—stay lightweight enough for real-time viewport playback during animation blocking.
Acceptance criteria
• Clean, artefact-free 4K texture sets (albedo, normal, roughness/spec) per character
• Colour and detail matching the provided concept art
• No visible seams when models deform under standard body and facial rigs
• On-time delivery of both working files and flattened exports
If you love painting lively surfaces and understand how texture translates to animated performance, let’s make these characters shine.
