3D Architecture Model Optimization
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for a freelancer who can perform 3D architecture model optimization on existing CAD files. The main task will be mesh optimization, and we are hoping to find a skilled freelancer who can quickly and efficiently make the necessary changes.
The specific tasks that need to be completed on the model include the following:
- Convert the source DWG or DAE file into an optimized FBX file with a quadrangulated topology.
- Check for any errors or issues in the model and fix them as needed.
- Optimize the polygon count to ensure it is suitable for use in the Unity game engine without causing performance issues.
- Apply a consistent naming convention for polygon element grouping to create an organized hierarchy.
- Apply proportional UV mapping to each polygon element based on its real-life measurements to facilitate texture application. Please note that texture creation is not included in this job, only the UV mapping of the model.
Attached is an example of a garage model that has been optimized from the original asset. The target files will be for a larger house, similar in style. Once the job is accepted, additional 3D reference assets and detailed guidelines will be provided to help with the project.
If the initial work is completed successfully, there is a good chance of repeating work in the future. We are looking for reliable and skilled professionals to collaborate with on an ongoing basis. This could lead to a longer-term engagement, depending on your skills and interests. We value open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to quality work. If this job offer sparks your passion, we would love to hear from you.
