3d model with rigging and animation for Bethesda game
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for an experienced 3d modeler to create a model with rigging and animation, for a Bethesda game. I need a model of an animal or creature. I have detailed descriptions to provide, but no reference art; so I need the freelancer to come up with the design. As for the animation, I need a combat-style animation for fighting, death, etc. The model must be up to industry standards and should have a realistic aesthetic.
I might commission more work down the line if I'm happy with the results. For this initial request, I'm leaning towards a large cat character. I'd like a model that can be easily reskinned to support various color and texture variations. The ideal design would be a template that can be adapted to different large cat types like tigers, panthers, leopards, or similar creatures. Alternatively, a wolf character could also work for my project.
I would like someone who is familiar with Bethesda's proprietary model file -- NIF files -- because they'll know which format to create in that will be simple to convert. The game uses NIF files as the mesh, DDS files as the texture, and AF and AFX files as the animation. As far as I know the DDS textures are the same files they were in Skyrim. It's the NIF mesh files that require Nifskope, or at least a NIF plug-in for another modeling software.
If you have previous experience in creating 3D models and animating them for Bethesda games, it's definitely a plus! I'm excited to see your ideas!
