I’m putting together a small, zero-budget passion project called “Usually Simple Almost Pretty,” and I’m handling the overall direction myself. Right now I need a 3D animator who can bring our off-beat cast of humans and wonderfully strange forms to life just for the fun of it.

Here’s the vision:
• Style: Fully 3D animation—think stylised, not photoreal, with room for playful experimentation.
• Characters: Primarily human but often morphing into quirky, abstract shapes that suit the show’s surreal tone.
• Scope: Model, rig and animate a short pilot scene (roughly 60–90 seconds) so the team has a concrete piece to rally around when the musicians compose and the voice actors record.
• Workflow: You’ll collaborate with me and a small crew in a shared cloud drive, swapping storyboards and reference art in weekly video calls. Any mainstream tool you’re comfortable with—Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini—is fine as long as you can export FBX or Alembic.

Because this is a volunteer endeavour, there’s no monetary compensation; the payoff is creative freedom, a fresh portfolio piece, and the chance to set the visual tone for a brand-new show.
