Modern Painted Wood Deck Concept
Budget: $100,000 – $0 USD
I need a visually striking deck concept for an upcoming movie scene. The overall look must sit firmly in a modern aesthetic—clean lines, minimal ornamentation, and a contemporary color palette. We will be building in wood, not metal or composite, and I am envisioning a smooth painted finish rather than natural grain or traditional staining.
Here is what I’m looking for:
• A set of mood-board images that clearly convey the modern style, lighting, and color treatment.
• A scaled layout with basic dimensions so my set-construction crew can translate the idea to our soundstage.
• One or two quick 3-D visuals or SketchUp/Blender mock-ups (static renders are fine) to communicate camera angles and depth.
Keep the files lightweight and shareable; high-resolution JPEGs or PDFs work best for the mood board, while the model can be in a common format (.skp, .blend, or .fbx). Accuracy isn’t hyper-architectural—the key is selling the look on screen—but proportions must be believable enough to guide carpenters and the cinematographer.
I’ll give prompt feedback the moment I see your first pass, and we can lock the final design once the director signs off. If you have relevant portfolio pieces—especially modern, painted-wood sets—feel free to point me to them when you apply.
