I want to build a modern-warfare VR shooter that focuses purely on competitive multiplayer. The experience needs to feel authentic—tight weapon handling, responsive locomotion, and clear, positional voice chat—while running comfortably on current consumer headsets.
Core scope
• Three match types: team-based objectives, free-for-all combat, and capture-the-flag, all accessible from a unified lobby and matchmaking system.
• Military environments (urban streets, forward-operating bases, etc.) with cover, verticality, and interactive props that encourage varied tactics.
• Full networked gameplay with dedicated or relay servers, in-game party creation, and an anti-cheat layer.
• Standard FPS staples: loadout selection, re-spawn rules that fit each mode, scoring UI, and end-of-round statistics.
Deliverables
1. A playable VR vertical slice demonstrating the three modes on at least one map.
2. Source project built in Unity or Unreal (your preference) with clearly commented code.
3. Basic art, sounds, and animations that convey the intended feel—placeholders are fine as long as the mechanics are solid.
4. Build instructions plus documentation covering network architecture, input mapping, and how to add more maps or weapons.
Acceptance criteria
• Stable 80 + FPS on Quest 2 / SteamVR equivalent.
• Host and four remote players can complete a full match in each mode with no game-breaking bugs.
• Accurate hit-detection and synchronized scoring across all clients.
