1600s Maritime/Piracy Game Asset Modeling
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I'm in need of a talented 3D modeler to create assets for a full 1600s maritime/piracy based game. The project will unfold in several phases as we progress through development. Initially, we're focusing on modeling era-appropriate ships, weapons, armor, cannons, buildings, wagons, clothing, forts, characters, and various animations.
Key Aspects of the Project:
- The first phase will prioritize the modeling of ships and weapons.
- All assets should be designed with a medium level of detail, suitable for general gameplay.
- A particular focus is required on creating warships, in line with the 1600s maritime/piracy theme.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Previous experience in game asset creation.
- Strong understanding of the 1600s maritime/piracy era.
- Ability to create medium-detail models suitable for general gameplay.
- Experience with character modeling and animation is a plus.

Modeling for a full video game-
this may happen in several phases as we add to the development process.
Definite includes would be basically everything pertaining to a 1600s maritime/piracy based game.
* Era appropriate ships, weapons, armor, cannons, buildings, wagons, clothing
* Close to scale war ships, forts, towns, walls, etc.
* Cities, decorations, and characters.
* Animations for everything required.
If necessary to save time and money, much of this could be sourced from model libraries, etc, which we would pay for, but we would want them customized a bit so as to not completely use someone else's work (obviously only within allowable licensing terms)
May also need to work hand-in-hand with developer when the time comes.
This is a passion project shared by my father and myself and as such, there may be gaps in the process where we are still trying to figure things out, how to do this, etc. So the project may have more and less active times.
