High-Detail Skin Block Model
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I need to create an original 1 piece, 3D-print-ready anatomical skin block model that shows the layers in the Epidermis (not the dermis) in crisp, high resolution for classroom demonstrations. The model must be of high quality and scalable so it can be printed on either a Polyjet or standard FDM or SLA machine without loss of fidelity.
contents;
The model should show the cell layers on all 4 sides plus the top. Kindly see the layers and cells involved in the design below and see attached references to give an idea of the layers in detail. Layers and cells involved (are subject to slight changes);
From top to bottom;
Stratum disjunctum
Stratum corneum
Stratum granulosum
Stratum spinosum
Stratum basale
Underlying Dermis and Corium will be partially visible but without much detail.
Stratum lucidum will not be included
Base
Included as well:
Langerhans cells
Merkel cells
Melanocytes
visible nerve endings in the stratum spinosum
Design print and format
The design is to be printed and placed on an existing base plate. The design should take into account to minimize material use and practical solutions for fixing the model to the base.
The initial goal is to create a Polyjet full color print, but if this proves too expensive, the model will be printed in SLS or similar. Since of the model will be either 15x15x30 or a slimmer format of 7x15x30 cm. File format should reflect the intended print method and checked for errors in Meshmixer or similar validation tools. A quick screenshot of the model in your slicer confirming clean geometry will serve as acceptance proof.
Deadline
work must start immediately and be delivered within a few weeks.
communication and expectations
Attention to detail is expected. Original work only - no copying from existing designs.
A close dialogue during the process to confirm each step on the way is mandatory.
