I'm looking for a skilled professional to create a 3D design for a functional grill for home ventilation. The design should be optimized for plastic. We have many of these soffit vents in our community and the grill portion is desintegrating after only about 5 years. The base portion seems to be holding up so we wish to replace the grill portion with a more robust design and produce it with plastic that will be resistant to UV. The company that made the vent went out of business in 2022. We own an brand new vent that includes both the base and the grill that can be used as a model. The grill snaps into the base so the grill can be used to design a more robust version and the base can be used to test produced grills to prove that the grill snaps in and stays in.
Key Requirements:
- Create a 3D design of a vent grill that is to be a replacement for currently installed grills.
- The design should be optimized for using plastic that can withstand extended exposure to uv as the material.
- The grill is intended for home ventilation use and must clip into base portion of existing soffit vent
- We possess a new complete vent including the grill. We need to design a replacement grill only that we want to be designed to be stronger (i.e. thicker plastic) and more UV resistant (I.e. different plastic).
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in 3D modelling software.
- Previous experience in designing functional plastic products.
- A strong understanding of home ventilation systems.
