Create 3D Printing Lessons for Kids
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
We are a non-profit located in Dallas, Texas, and we are looking to hire a freelance 3D printing specialist to not only setup, configure and calibrate our new 3D printer, but to also teach to children ages 12+
What I’m looking for is an experienced maker who can:
• Calibrate and fine-tune our Ender printers so they run reliably in a group setting.
• Design a short curriculum that walks students from basic safety and printer anatomy through slicing and their first successful print.
• Provide simple modelling activities (Tinkercad or a similarly intuitive tool is ideal) plus any STL examples or handouts the kids can keep.
• Spend some time training our staff so we can maintain the machines and keep the lessons going after you leave.
The end deliverables should include the finished lesson plans, printable worksheets or slides, example project files, and a concise maintenance checklist for the Enders. If you can deliver the instruction in person that’s great, but a well-structured online workshop is fine too as long as the kids stay engaged.
Let me know about your experience with Ender printers, any teaching you’ve done at the middle-school level, and how quickly you could have the first session ready.
