Children's Book Animation - Percy the Peacock Spider

I am the author and creator of a children’s picture book featuring an original character called Percy the Peacock Spider. I am looking to commission a high-quality, reusable character rig for Percy, plus one short looping animation to confirm correct movement and personality.

This is not a one-off social media video.
This project is about building the character correctly once, so Percy can be reused in future animations.

Scope of work:

• Rig Percy from supplied artwork (PNG, transparent background)
• Percy must have exactly 8 legs (non-negotiable)
• Maintain original proportions, colours, and style exactly
• Child-friendly, soft movement (no exaggerated squash/stretch)
• Rig must be suitable for future actions such as walking, sitting, still/quiet poses, etc.

Test animation (included):

• One seamless looping animation, approx 5–8 seconds
• Percy gently dances with a soft up-and-down bounce
• Calm, joyful, and gentle (not energetic or silly)
• Background will be supplied and should remain still
• No text, no narration, no sound required

Assets & style:

• Percy artwork and forest background will be supplied
• Colours must match the supplied artwork exactly
• No redesign, reinterpretation, or stylistic changes

Deliverables required:

• Final looped animation (MP4 or similar)
• The rigged Percy file / project file for future reuse
• Confirmation that the rig can be reused for future animations

Ownership:

• I retain full ownership of the character rig and animations
• No royalties, no ongoing fees
• The character may be reused in future projects

Quality, accuracy, and reusability are the priority.
