Interactive Oculus 360° Video
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
I have an equirectangular 360° video destined for the Oculus Quest and need to layer in two kinds of interaction: clickable hotspots and information pop-ups. When a viewer gazes at or taps a hotspot, a short block of text must appear, remain legible in-headset, and then dismiss cleanly, in some instances a pop up video will appear.
The core tasks are:
• Insert and accurately position the hotspots within the sphere so they line up with visual cues already in the footage.
• Trigger text-based pop-ups that respect Quest performance guidelines and never drift or clip.
• Package the finished experience as a Quest-ready build (Unity, Unreal, WebXR—whichever you recommend) along with project files so I can update text or hotspot placement later.
Acceptance criteria
1. Hotspots are responsive and highlight on hover or gaze.
2. Pop-ups render crisp at normal viewing distance and close on simple controller input.
3. The final build runs at 72 FPS or better on Quest 1/2 without visual artifacts.
4. All source files and a brief setup guide are delivered.
Provide a rough timeline and note any SDKs or plugins you plan to use so I can be sure they fit with our in-house pipeline.
