2D top-down tileset and small assets (2.5D perspective)

Job ID: 31243710

Budget: $50 – $400 USD

# Description

2D tileset drawn from top-down perspective but appears 2.5D. For example, the perspective in Clash Royale or Stardew Valley. Prefer a more high-res look like Clash Royale rather than pixel art. Environment is an ocean that will have sandbars, rocks, a whirlpool, and an octopus as obstacles. Player crosses from a rock shelf to the shoreline by building planks across the water and avoiding the obstacles. Tiles are 128x128.

PDF of these specs is attached for cleaner formatting.

## Art style
- https://www.pinterest.com/pin/263531015674795519/ this is similar to the desired art style, but not drawn as pixel art
- https://www.pinterest.com/pin/460211655665298890/ example of water animation; also prefer the transparency and simplicity of this water compared to the water from the first sample
- https://i.imgur.com/TASg5ib.png rock shelf inspiration; in-game will be much simpler (a straight rock shelf across the bottom of the screen to serve as a starting point); this sample is to illustrate the desired flat and dark stone
- https://i.imgur.com/TAaDpWI.png rock obstacle inspiration; not very large or tall rocks, but still rocks that can effectively form a barrier
- https://i.imgur.com/lpGjNBA.png plank inspiration; a deep, somewhat dark color, with a rugged appearance and well-defined lines

# Tileset
## Water
- Primary water
- Shallow water
- Water meets starting shore
-- Rock shore
- Water meets ending shore
-- Dirt shore
- 3-5 animation tiles for water meeting ending shore (to simulate natural gentle water movement)

## Starting shore (rock shelf)
- Primary rock
- 3 alternative tiles (cracks, small pebbles, light grass growth, etc.)

## Ending shore (dirt/grassy)
- Primary grass
- 2 alternative tiles (small rock, small shrub)

## Sandbar obstacle
- Primary sand (not touching water, connected to other sand tiles)
- 4 corner tiles (touching water and connected to other sand tiles)
- 4 edge tiles (touching water on only one side)
- Corner connector tiles for all possible corner connections (e.g. top right corner connects to another top right corner placed 1 tile up and 1 tile left; top right corner connects to a bottom left corner placed 1 tile down and 1 tile right; etc)
- Single-width tiles
-- 1 isolated sand tile (touching water on all 4 sides)
-- 1 tile touching water on left and right, touching sand on top and bottom
-- 1 tile touching water on top and bottom, touching sand on left and right
-- 4 cap tiles (touching water on three sides)

## Whirlpool obstacle (single water tile)
- 4-6 tiles to animate the whirlpool

## Rock obstacle
- Same tileset requirements as sandbar obstacle

# Assets
## Wooden planks
- 1 straight plank that extends the full length of a tile and is about 90% as wide as a tile (in order to see water on the sides of the plank)
-- Should seamlessly connect to other planks
- 1 corner plank
-- Forms 90-degree turn
-- Connects seamlessly to straight planks
- 1 ladder (single perspective; rungs are facing player)

## Octopus
- Should fit within a single tile
- Will be placed such that it is floating in the water (head above water)

## Bridge
- 3 tiles long (first and last tiles are just stairs to elevate the crossing platform, middle tile is the crossing platform)
- Should seamlessly connect to planks
- Drawn from 2 perspectives
-- Side to side (e.g. placed horizontally)
-- Front to back
