Retro AnaloguePunk Game Illustrations -- 2
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m putting together a small, 2D RPG in RPG Maker MZ set in an alternate-history late-90s/early-2000s world of chunky CRTs, flickering CCTV feeds, and spray-painted photocopiers. To bring that AnaloguePunk atmosphere to life I’m commissioning a first batch of art assets:
• Player profile portrait in full Tank Girl–style energy—bold inks, attitude, and the slightly grimy colour palette you’d expect from Jamie Hewlett’s pages.
• Two enemy sprites inspired by classic Troma Films villains: think outrageous silhouettes, over-the-top mutations, and tongue-in-cheek gore, ready for front view battlers.
• One landscape background that channels Judge Dredd’s towering, cluttered city blocks—layers of concrete, CRT monitors bolted to walls, neon signage and smog-tinted skies. Set in a derelict 1990s London style city.
The engine prefers PNGs with transparent backgrounds for characters (approx. 576×384 per sheet) and a 1280×720 background, but if you’ve worked in RPG Maker MZ before you’ll know the exact export sizes; if not, I’ll supply templates.
Keep the line work hand-inked or convincingly digital-inked, colours slightly desaturated, and textures a touch gritty so the three pieces feel pulled from the same derelict news-stand comic.
On delivery I’ll review the artwork in-engine; if everything aligns with the vibe above and layers cleanly, we’re set, otherwise we’ll fine-tune together. Drop me a note if you need style boards or engine specs—happy to share reference panels and screenshots.
More assets will be needed in the same style as project continues, although I'm a solo developer and this is just a hobby project, I just want to use human made graphics (STRICTLY NO AI GENERATED IMAGES- process pictures to prove AI isn't used would help)
