Planet Tileset Remaster
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
I already have nine planet atlases, each made up of fourteen 256 × 256 pixel tiles that my top-down 2-D space game uses to build procedural worlds. I now need every one of those tiles redrawn from scratch—same positions and edge logic—while boosting the visual quality. Dark tones still mark cliff tops and fills, light tones the walkable floor; for the desert set that relationship is reversed.
Style direction
The existing art is a seamless, slightly retro top-down look. Keep that feeling but push the fidelity: cleaner shapes, tighter dithering, richer specular details and generally more detailed textures. Colour palettes can become a little bolder as long as cohesion across tiles stays intact. Arctic and Desert are must-haves; seven additional biomes will follow once we start.
Deliverables
• Nine atlas sheets, one per planet, each containing twenty 256 × 256 tiles (PNG)
• The fourteen original layouts faithfully remastered, plus six brand-new variants per planet that expand lower-floor and cliff-fill options
• Individual tile exports (PNG) mirroring the atlas content
• Source file(s) from your preferred pixel-art tool for future tweaks
Acceptance criteria
All tiles must tile seamlessly on every edge, preserve the cliff/floor relationship described above, and drop into my current engine with no visible stitching.
Next step
I have attached the current Arctic sheet; feel free to pick a tile or two and show how you would reinterpret it. Links to similar pixel-art work in your portfolio will help me choose quickly.
