Pixel Art for 2D Action Game (Read Before Bid) (Student Project)
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m looking for a talented pixel artist to help build the world for my first 2D action game. I’m an independent developer with several apps already published on the Google Play Store, and this project is headed there as well.
I specifically want to hire a student or a new artist looking to make a name for themselves; I will not accept offers from freelancers who have completed more than 5 works on this site. This is a long-term partnership. If we work well together, we'll continue for future updates and new games. You’ll get full credit in the game, though I retain all legal rights to the designs. You must speak English very well and be communicative; if there’s an issue with a design, I need you available to fix it.
I wrote the game and I'll be the one coding, but you'll be the one who gives a face to this world. It is important to me that you read all of this before bidding for the work.
The project requires a full set of 19 2D pixel-art designs, meaning you will be creating 19 designs in total. These include:
Main Hero: 3 versions (showing growth and maturity)
Bosses: 2 versions of the Big Boss and 1 Final Boss design
Enemies: 4 versions of the standard enemy soldiers
Maps: 2 total (one standard gameplay map and one static arena map)
Items: 1 coin, 1 standard sword, and 1 heart pickup
Superpowers: 3 versions of the superpower sword and 1 superpower token
Projectiles: 2 versions of an energy blast attack
The price for this entire set is fixed at $20. I need these assets ready in 1 month, so you can take your time to ensure the quality is right. Once we agree to work together, I’ll share the game script and more details.

- The software you use (Aseprite, Photoshop, etc.).
- A quick timeline estimate for the first character set.
And last but not least, you are free to use AI on this project.
Please provide samples of your previous work, especially anything showing dark or moody themes.
