2D Pixel Art “Quest Path” Graphic – Visual Goal Planner/Steps (A3 Printable)

Project Description:
I’m looking to commission an artist to create a 2D pixel-art style illustration that resembles a 2D video game quest map, such as a winding path. The final image will be printed on A3 paper and used as a visual planning tool to help an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder break down a large goal (for example, gaining employment) into smaller, achievable steps. The design should be fun, clear, and engaging, without being visually overwhelming.
Design Requirements:
Overall Layout:
- Portrait A3 size (297mm x 420mm)
- Retro pixel art / video game quest style
- A winding brown dirt path that travels from the bottom to the top of the page
- Background should include decorative pixel art elements like rocks, grass, signposts, etc., but nothing too cluttered
- Light neutral background (e.g. beige sand or pale green field) for visual clarity
Top of Page:
- Pixel-art style banner or label for the overall goal
Bottom of Page:
- A pixelated 2D character with a label for their name standing at the start of the path
Along the Path:
- Three versions required:
- One version with 8 large empty white boxes
- One version with 12 boxes
- One version with 16 boxes
- These boxes will be used for handwriting steps toward the goal
- Boxes must be clearly visible, well-spaced, and large enough to write in the individual steps (I'm printing it on A3)
Style and Accessibility:
- Friendly, game-like aesthetic
- Soft colour palette (not too saturated or harsh)
- Clean contrast between the path, step boxes, and background
- ASD-friendly — must not be visually overwhelming
Deliverables:
- 3 final high-resolution images in PNG and PDF formats (print-ready at 300dpi, A3 size)
- Editable layered source file (PSD preferred or another tool that's free)
- License for personal and non-commercial use with a client
