Mobile 2D Puzzle Game Development

Job ID: 40056528

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m planning a casual puzzle game for mobile devices and need a developer who can take the concept from whiteboard to a polished, store-ready build. The core idea is a level-based experience with progressively challenging logic puzzles, a friendly colour palette, and smooth 2D animations—think along the lines of Cut the Rope or Two Dots rather than hyper-casual endless play.

I’m open to any lightweight, mobile-friendly engine you’re comfortable with—Unity, Godot, Cocos2d, or something comparable—as long as performance remains snappy on both iOS and Android. You’ll handle gameplay programming, simple UI, in-game sound hooks, and basic data persistence for level states and user progress. I’ll provide theme guidelines and puzzle mechanics; you translate them into touch-friendly interaction, polished transitions, and bite-sized levels that load quickly.

Deliverables I need to see:
• Playable prototype demonstrating core mechanic and one complete level set
• Iterative builds so we can fine-tune difficulty curve and UX flow
• Final build (APK/IPA) plus full project source, ready for App Store & Google Play submission

Acceptance criteria revolve around smooth 60 fps gameplay on mid-range devices, intuitive first-time user experience, and well-commented code so I can extend the level library later. If you love crafting clever puzzles and elegant 2D visuals, let’s chat about timelines and milestones.
