Medieval Pixel Character Sprites
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m expanding a small school game built in Unreal Engine 5 and I need a pixel-art specialist to bring a dark-and-gritty medieval cast to life. The visual benchmark is Pokémon Emerald, but everything is scaled down to 32 × 32 and drenched in a tougher, low-fantasy mood.
Scope
• 3 – 9 fully realised characters: heroes, villains, and neutral townsfolk.
• Simple but readable animations for each: idle, walk, run, plus a single “fight” action that can double as an attack or defensive stance.
• I will supply a clean 32 × 32 base template so you can focus entirely on costuming, palette, silhouette, and motion.
Workflow & Delivery
Work in the editor of your choice; just export to PNG. A consolidated sprite sheet is perfect, but individual frame PNGs are also fine—whichever suits your pipeline. When I drop the sprites into UE5 their pivots must be centred and each animation framed consistently at 32 × 32.
Acceptance
I’ll import the sheet, hook up flipbooks, and confirm that:
1. Every animation loops smoothly at 6–10 fps.
2. Characters read clearly against both bright and dim backgrounds.
3. Palettes stay cohesive across the whole lineup.
If that matches your skill set, I’m ready to share the template and get moving right away.
