Medieval Fantasy Sprite Overhaul
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have an early-stage browser game on tarek.wiche.eu that plays like Warcraft III “Line Tower Wars.” The core mechanics work, but every unit is still a placeholder square. I now want a complete sprite pass in a consistent medieval-fantasy style.
What I need first
• Ground enemies: Orcs, Goblins, Wolves, plus one Giant unit
• Flying enemies: two distinct airborne creatures
(The flying mobs must look airborne at all times; the ground mobs should read clearly even when scaled down.)
All enemies should support a simple walk/run or flap loop, a hit frame, and a death frame. They also need visual cues for the swarm behavior the game relies on—think compact silhouettes that remain readable when many are on screen.
Towers
Replace the current colored blocks with proper towers—archer, cannon, magic, and any others already present in the prototype. Size them so they sit neatly on the 64 × 64 grid, with one idle frame and a single attack animation or muzzle-flash frame.
File expectations
• Transparent PNG sprite sheets (Power-of-two dimensions where practical)
• Source files in PSD, Aseprite, or Krita
• Naming convention that matches the existing asset loader
No new graphics have to be created, you can start using available sprite sets, that are free and comercially usuable. if you prefer creating new figures, because you're an AI wizard or something, feel welcome.
Technical Context & Perspective
The game runs on a Three.js / React Three Fiber stack. We are rendering 2D sprites within a 3D environment (using billboards/planes).
Perspective is key: Since the camera looks down at an angle, sprites must be drawn in a top-down or pseudo-isometric (approx. 45°) view. Please do not provide flat side-profile views (like a platformer), as they will break the immersion.
Rendering: Assets must be optimized for WebGL. Please deliver transparent PNGs and keep sprite sheet dimensions to power-of-two (e.g., 512x512, 1024x1024) where possible to ensure smooth loading in Vite/Three.js.
How to bid
Take two minutes to open the game and tell me which tower types you can currently build. That line is my proof you actually looked at the project. Then let me know:
1. Which batch of sprites you’d tackle first
2. How many days you need
3. Your fixed price for that batch
I’m happy to expand the contract once the first set is in-game and approved. Looking forward to seeing your medieval-fantasy art style bring the battlefield to life!
