Live Unity Platformer Animation Fix

Job ID: 40021406

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I have a 2-D platformer in Unity that’s almost there, but the character movement still feels rough. The animations don’t blend cleanly, jumps sometimes stutter, and collisions can snap or stick at odd angles. I’d like to jump on a live call—screen-share or Parsec—so we can diagnose and repair the issues together in real time.

Here’s what needs attention:
• Smooth out running-to-walking and idle transitions so they feel natural and responsive.
• Refine the jump arc and landing animation so momentum carries through without that momentary hitch.
• Tweak collision detection on platforms and walls to remove snagging or ghost-through events.

We’ll work inside the current Unity project (latest LTS). I’m already using Animator Controller and a custom CharacterController script, and I’m happy to grant temporary repo access for you to pull changes. Once we’re connected, I expect you to pinpoint problem states, adjust curves or blend trees, and, if needed, rewrite small sections of movement code for smoother interpolation.

Deliverables at session end:
1. Updated Animator setup and scripts committed to the repo.
2. A brief text log of what changed and why, so I can maintain it later.
3. A quick sanity test—run, jump, collide—showing no visible stutter or clipping compared to the current build.

If you’ve tackled similar live-debug jobs, let me know. I’m ready to schedule the session as soon as you are.
