Cartoon 2D Game Backgrounds
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a side-scrolling 2D game and now need a set of bright, cartoonish backgrounds that capture the relaxed vibe of a shore area—think mountains beaches, old forts, boardwalk details.. The art will be used in-game, so the layers must scroll smoothly for parallax.
Here’s what I’m after:
• 5–7 seamless, looping background scenes covering dawn, midday, sunset, and night variations.
• Separate foreground, mid-ground, and sky layers in high-resolution PNG (and layered PSD/AI files).
• Consistent colour palette, line weight, and perspective so each scene blends naturally with existing cartoon characters.
• Final assets aligned to our 1920×1080 canvas with safe zones kept clear for UI elements.
I’ll share reference screenshots, the current sprite sheet, and the exact hex palette once we start. Please include links to any similar shore or beach environments you’ve illustrated, and note your estimated turnaround for the first draft and final revisions.
