About the Project:
We are developing a commercial bingo application that is fully functional but requires a professional art overhaul to elevate the user experience. The app is feature-complete, but its current user interface (UI) lacks polished artwork, and there's no support for multiple visual themes. We’re seeking talented, creative artists to design and create all necessary art assets for the game, from UI elements to animated title screens.
The ideal candidate will create visually appealing, polished, and engaging art assets, focusing on an aesthetic that suits bingo players and fits within the expectations of a modern casino-style game. The artwork should be visually striking, easy on the eyes, and captivating, as players may spend extended periods interacting with these screens.
Scope of Work:
1. Title Screen:
- Design an eye-catching, flashy animated title screen that immediately captures the player’s attention.
- The animation should be smooth and visually engaging while setting the tone for the rest of the app.
2. UI Art Assets:
- Create all necessary UI elements, including but not limited to menus, buttons, icons, sliders, bingo cards, special effects, game info, and HUD elements.
- Ensure all UI elements are designed with accessibility, readability, and usability in mind.
- Design for a flexible layout that supports various screen aspect ratios (4:3 to 16:9) with scalable elements and proper margins.
3. Themed Backgrounds:
- Develop dynamic and visually appealing backgrounds for the game area, which will display when the player is not actively using bingo cards (e.g., between rounds).
- These backgrounds should be designed with the theme in mind and may include subtle animations to enhance the player’s experience.
4. Theme Development:
- Develop at least two complete themes for the app:
- Default Theme: A core theme that transitions smoothly from the title screen and remains appropriate for the majority of players. Think classic casino aesthetics (e.g., Las Vegas green felt and classic card designs).
- Secondary Theme(s): At least one additional themed design (e.g., lucky clovers, gold dragons, or other casino-appropriate themes) to offer players variety.
- Themes should be designed to appeal to all audiences, keeping the artwork tasteful, engaging, and easy to look at.
5. Special Effects:
- Create special effects for key moments in the game, such as when the player is one ball away from winning or has achieved a bingo.
- These effects should tie into the theme and enhance the overall game experience.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- Strong portfolio showcasing 2D art, UI design, and game-themed assets, with a focus on high-quality, visually appealing work.
- Proven experience with UI art asset creation for video games, preferably in the mobile, gaming, or casino industry.
- Proficient with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, After Effects, etc.
- Experience creating polished, animated assets for title screens and UI elements.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to project specifications.
Bonus:
- Experience designing for mobile games or casino-themed games.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, accessibility best practices, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, especially for asset integration.
