We are hiring a freelance CAD Drafting Specialist for Civil Structural Engineering company
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I require a CAD draftsperson to design comprehensive plan sets for multiple residential construction projects in Florida. The projects entail entails designing permit-ready documents for a 500-3,900 sq ft residence, including:
2D plan set for a residential home. Plans include the following sheets
o Title sheet with vicinity map, index and plot plan
o Construction Notes
o Foundation plan and details
o Floor plan and details including door and window schedules
o Exterior elevations (4)
o Electrical power, lighting plan and plumbing plan
o Interior details
o Kitchen and bath Cabinet elevations
o Wall sections
o Standard construction details
- Engineer will provide all necessary calculations, sizes and reinforcing.
- Plan submission in 4 stages
o Conceptual – floor plan
o Preliminary – floor plan plus 3 exterior elevations, including any porches, patios, ect.
o Design Development – 80% design complete to include title sheet, floor plans, kitchen and bath details, construction details, construction notes, electrical plan and plumbing plan.
o Final – permit ready set of 2D plans
Ideally, you'd have substantial experience in drafting for residential projects and understand Florida's specific building code guidelines and permitting process. You should be proficient in creating accurate, detailed, and well-organized drafts, ensuring smooth permitting and construction.
Submit your price range in per sq foot terms and average turnaround times per stage.
We pay based on price per square foot. Work will be on-going with each completed project.
