Traditional Romance Manga Creation

I’m producing a personal-use romance manga and need a skilled artist who works confidently in a classic, Traditional Japanese style. The project covers everything from early concept sketches right through to fully inked and shaded pages.

Here’s what I have in mind: I’ll supply a brief outline of the characters, setting and the emotional beats of the plot. From there, I’m looking for you to shape the visual narrative—character sheets, rough thumbnails, page layouts, and the final finished artwork. Clean line work, authentic screentone technique, dynamic panel flow, and expressive character acting are all key.

Because this is a private passion project, I’m flexible on page count and pacing, but I do want a polished, print-ready PDF plus layered PSD or Clip Studio files at 300 dpi so I can archive and, if I choose, print a small run later. Dialogue will be in English; hand-lettering or neatly placed digital text is fine as long as it complements the art.

To be sure we stay on track, I’d like to review:
• initial character designs
• a rough storyboard or thumbnail set for the first chapter
• two sample finished pages for style approval

Once those are green-lit, you can move on to the remaining pages in agreed milestones. If traditional media is your preference, high-resolution scans are acceptable. Digital artists are equally welcome—just keep the classic aesthetic front and center.
