Realistic 80s Military Jet Illustrations

Job ID: 39916369

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m putting together a personal reference library of 1980s-era military jets and need a skilled artist to bring them to life in a realistic style. Think Tomcat, Eagle, and other cold-war icons—clean panel lines, period-correct markings, and authentic proportions. These images are for my own use only, so licensing headaches aren’t a concern; accuracy and visual impact are.

What I’m after:
• Several distinct aircraft concepts inspired by real 80s fighters
• High-resolution, print-ready files (PNG/JPEG) plus layered source files (PSD or vector)
• At least one side and one top view per jet, with the option for a 3-view layout if you enjoy that level of detail
• Color schemes faithful to the decade—low-viz gray, NATO camo, or similar

A short note on workflow: show me rough line sketches first so I can confirm shapes and proportions, then move on to clean line work and final rendering. I’m happy to give quick, direct feedback at every step.

If you thrive on aircraft illustration and know the difference between an F-14 and an F-16 at a glance, we’ll get along great. Let me see a sample of similar work and tell me how many finalized designs you can comfortably deliver within the scope. Though inspiration from the AD-1 would be appreciated
