Fantasy Webcomic Looking for New Artist
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Webcomic Artist Wanted for Ongoing Series: Kree & Damonthax $ 45 USD / page
Hi, I’m Sean Anderson (aka Sand), writer and producer of the ongoing fantasy romantic-comedy webcomic Kree & Damonthax. I’m based in Japan and I'm currently seeking a replacement artist to continue the series from where the previous artist left off. The first assignment will be a transition page to introduce the new artist to readers.
1. Software Requirement: Must use Clip Studio Paint (version 4)
2. Art & Style Expectations:
Must be able to deliver work at the same or higher quality than the previous artist.
A style change is welcome, but it must represent a clear improvement in polish, consistency, and appeal.
Strong skill in drawing appealing anthropomorphic animals is essential.
The comic occasionally contains suggestive content, so comfort with light NSFW material is preferred.
3. Responsibilities:
The artist will handle FULL page production, including but not limited to:
Characters
Backgrounds
Paneling and composition
Speech bubbles and lettering
Final page formatting
The artist must be open to revisions at any stage of production, including fixes requested after delivery. Creative input is encouraged, but final creative decisions rest with the producer to maintain a consistent vision.
4. Comic specifications:
Full color
B4 size pages
Panel count ranges from 1–20 panels per page, depending on the script
5. Workflow & Communication
Detailed scripts and full page mockups and pages completed by previous artist will be provided.
Artist must provide progress updates at least once every three days.
6. Schedule
Each page must be completed within two weeks of payment, with reasonable flexibility for real-life circumstances.
Must be able to consistently produce 1–3 pages per month, depending on scheduling and scripts available.
7. Payment
Paid in full at the start of each page. $45 USD
Application Requirements
8. Please include the following with your application:
Sketches of Kree and Damonthax in interesting poses.
Samples of your colored fantasy-related comic pages
9. Job Requirements (upon hiring)
Must have a Facebook account
Must use Messenger for communication
Must join the Facebook group Unicorn Appreciation Group and Sales as part of the role
If you’re an artist who loves fantasy, enjoys character-driven storytelling, and wants to contribute to a long-term creative project with a growing readership, I’d love to hear from you. This is an opportunity to put your stamp on an ongoing series, grow alongside the project, and collaborate closely on a story that has room for both artistic voice and meaningful input. If that sounds like your kind of work, please apply.
