Expert Needed for Low-Poly Metal Sculpture Modification (Pepakura / DXF / CNC / Rivet Assembly)
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I am looking for a skilled 3D designer experienced in Pepakura, low-poly fabrication, and CNC-ready DXF preparation.
This is a personal hobby project, not a commercial business.
I already have a DXF file of a low-poly 3D model intended for fabrication from 0.8 mm steel sheets. The current design needs to be modified so the internal fold lines become suitable for bending thin steel, similar to segmented cut/flex joints used in metal polygonal sculptures.
The designer should:
* Modify the internal fold lines/cut patterns to make bending possible in 0.8 mm steel
* Add rivet holes for assembly
* Add numbering/tabs for easier manual assembly
* Resize and scale the model properly for metal fabrication
* Optimize and arrange all parts efficiently into sheet layouts to minimize expensive steel sheet waste
* Deliver clean CNC-ready DXF files
The workflow is similar to Pepakura unfolding, but adapted specifically for thin metal fabrication instead of paper.
I will begin with a simple test model first. If the results are good, this may turn into multiple future projects.
Important:
* Experience with Pepakura Designer is highly preferred
* Experience with low-poly metal sculptures / polygonal metal art is a major advantage
* Experience preparing files for CNC laser cutting or plasma cutting is preferred
* Understanding of bending allowances and practical metal assembly is important
Please send:
* Examples of similar work
* Software you use
* Experience with DXF/CNC workflows
* Any experience with riveted metal assembly or polygonal sculptures
Final deliverables:
* Modified DXF files
* Properly numbered parts
* Rivet hole placement
* Optimized sheet nesting/layout
* Files ready for CNC cuttin
