I’m putting together a children’s picture book that follows an adventurous owl, a clever fox, and a playful baby kitty. I’m looking for lively, full-colour illustrations in a clearly cartoonish style—think bright palettes, soft shapes, and expressive eyes that immediately connect with young readers.
Scope
• Character sheets for the three main animals showing front, side, and action poses.
• Cover artwork (front, spine, and back) that captures the trio’s personality.
• Page or spread illustrations for the interior—final count to be agreed after you review the manuscript.
• Simple background elements that support the story without overcrowding the page.
• Print-ready files (300 dpi CMYK PDF) and layered source files (PSD, AI or Procreate).
What I value
• Consistent linework and colour across every illustration.
• Ability to visualise movement and emotion in a single frame.
• Clear communication and willingness to share rough sketches before inking and colouring.
Timeline & workflow
I’m flexible on timing; there’s no strict deadline, so we can focus on quality. We’ll begin with character concepts, move to rough page layouts, and only then progress to final art. I’ll provide prompt feedback at each milestone.
