120 Cartoon Illustrations Needed

Job ID: 40314915

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m producing a series of picture-books for toddlers aged 4–6 and need a total of 120 fresh, playful illustrations in a clearly cartoonish style. Each spread should feel simple enough for very young eyes yet packed with the warmth and charm that keeps a parent turning the pages aloud.

Here’s what I already know: the stories themselves are complete, page plans are ready, and I can supply rough thumbnail sketches showing character positions and key actions. What I’m hoping to learn from you is the best visual route forward—colour palette, line weight, texture choices, file specs, and a sensible schedule for delivering batches without losing consistency across so many pieces. If you have thoughts on whether a bold, vibrant palette or a softer pastel approach suits this age group better, please explain why and show examples; I’m open to persuasion.

The finished art will be delivered in high-resolution layered files (PSD or AI preferred, but I’m flexible if you have another workflow that makes sense). I’ll handle lettering and final layout, so clean transparent backgrounds or well-organised layers are important.

Send a link to your portfolio that shows comparable work, outline how you would break down the 120 illustrations into milestones, and let me know roughly how long you expect the full set to take once character designs are approved. I’m looking for someone who can keep a consistent, joyful tone throughout the series and communicate clearly as we move from roughs to finals.
